There are two limekilns at Black Rock which used the quarried limestone, one of which, on the drove, has been restored. The main quarry was last worked in 1935. The rock face of the disused quarry is deemed an extreme hazard DO NOT CLIMB ON THE QUARRY FACE. The rock face, along with the drove through the reserve, has previously been used in film sets.
The cache is hidden next to the restored lime kiln before your reach the quarry. The cache is a small square tupperware box. The contents includes some Somerset Wildlife Trust stickers and badges.
