Butterfly Garden Traditional Cache

Pulelehua translates to butterfly in Hawaiian! My family has Hawaiian heritage in our hearts and want to share it with you! There is a brand new travel bug here with a goal of getting to Hawaii!! It is our first hide!!

There is such an awesome caching community in this area, we feel blessed to have so many finds in our future! Our favorite thing is to get the kids out into the woods “hunting for treasure”, so this is definitely a “Kid’s Cache”! Lots of trinkets to trade. It’s a good sized Folgers can, but camo’d well so I hope there is a “hunt” involved. We are planting wild “butterfly loving” flowers near the site once it warms up. This is a nice and not difficult stroll although mugglers from the road may see you trekking part of the way, no one pays any attention. This site is used a lot by local quad riders so you may see some tracks. There is a single car pull off at the waypoint or room for two cars just across the road. (Enjoy the cows!) There are several park n’ grabs in the area but this one is a short walk.
