I first met Richard Schugal at a Credit Union Board meeting in the fall of 2011. He is the Supervisory Committee chairman. I was a newly appointed member of the committee. In February 2012 on the way to another CU Board meeting I had hidden “A Diamond in the Rough”. I mentioned that, when we were together before the meeting. He said he had geocached, but hadn’t done any recently. I asked how many he had found. He said about 30. That evening after the meeting we went out and he found “A Diamond in the Rough”. That was find number 29. Checking his profile page I see that he started in 3/6/06. That year he found 22. In ’’07 he found 3, ‘08 he found 2 and ‘09 he found 1. Then none until 2/12. Now he is into caching, except he also has many other interests. He is a frequent member of the MMCC. He and I along with the wife often do a biking/caching trail ride.
His first bike was a Professional 5000 so that is where his caching handle came from.

He is a fun guy and we enjoy being with him. So we are pleased to hide his 1k tribute cache. We are a bit late as he is more than half way to 2K.
