Geocache Description:

traditional box cache

I am grateful to the Church for allowing this cache to be sited in such a restful location. Once you have explored the church yard and found the cache. Please take the time to visit the beautiful church of St Mary's in Great Bealings.  Bealing's Magna is mentioned in the Domesday Book but is now a small community of about 120 dwellings.

It is probably best not to park on Hall Farm Road.  Park on the "Haskerton Road" near the war memorial.  Cross Hall Farm Road with care, although it is narrow, some cars travel at the national speed limit on it.  There is a footpath leading to the church yard from the road.

The church yard is a nature area and the grass is only cut once a year.  It is a haven for birds and other wildlife. There are two Barn Owl boxes, placed by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust.  The fields arround the church often have cows in them, please remember to keep dogs on the lead and shut the gates.
