現在は洪水対策が取られ、区画整理もされています。
区画整理をされたことにより数kmに渡り南北がほぼ直線となっている場所があります。
麦や米の収穫時期には色違いのタイルを貼り付けたような航空写真が新聞紙面を飾ることもあります。
