As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

.... but Aptenodytes forsteri's waddled in!

If you previously spent a Day on the Farm http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC2G044_a-day-on-the-farm-1-the-pasture?guid=ed46ebd3-b4ff-4bd8-81c9-2f7ab6489be1 then you'll have a good idea of what to expect. If not get ready for a lovely walk peppered with some of the zoo's residents hiding from you!   


 

~~Some of the route is on country lanes so please keep an eye on geokids and geodogs. Also, you'll be crossing farmland and so I would advise keeping dogs on a lead. There are a handful of stiles to negotiate, but for the most part this is a pleasant walk with only a one steep, stepped  section at the start to deal with! Parking is available at Valle Crucis Abbey, and the route should take about three hours to complete. Difficutly rating is based on the series as a whole. This cache is a micro, but a little disguised!
