[LT] Kalnų parke esantis šaudymo tiras priklauso Lietuvos policijos mokyklai ir yra sporto komplekso sudėtinė dalis, kurį iš dviejų pusių supa kalvos. Tiras pastatytas 1963 m. ir iki pat 1990 m. priklausė „Dinamo" sporto draugijai. Visą šį laikotarpį čia buvo šaudoma tik mažo kalibro sportiniais ginklais, kurių švininės kulkos faktiškai nerikošetuoja, o šaudant beveik nėra jokio garso, patys šauliai nenaudoja ausų apsaugos priemonių. Čia šaudyti mokydavosi vaikai lankantys sporto mokyklą ir treniruodavosi sportininkai.
Panaikinus „Dinamo" draugiją, šaudymo tiras perėjo Lietuvos Respublikos vidaus reikalų ministerijos žinion, vėliau buvo perduotas policijai ir iki šiol naudojamas policijos reikmėms. Pratybų metu šaudoma ne tik iš sportinių, bet ir iš tarnybinių ginklų, tačiau iš šaudyklos sklindantis garsas neviršija dienos metu leistinų triukšmo normų.
[EN] The shooting range of Kalnu Park (Mountain Park) is situated between two hills and belongs to the sports complex of Lithuanian Police School. The range was built in 1963 and till 1990 it belonged to “Dynamo” Sports Association. During this period only sports guns of small caliber were used here. Bullets did not ricochet and sounds of gun fire were too low to use protective headphones. The shooting range was used by athletes and children from sports schools.
After removal of “Dynamo” association, the shooting range became the property of Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania. Later it was placed on the police disposal and is still used for the police purposes. During the shooting practice not only sports guns but also combat guns are used at daytime, however, the noise level does not exceed its norms.
