Geocache Description:

Dundee made it's name from the 3Js - Jute, Jam and Journalism, and probably the most famous "journal" to come out of Dundee is "The Beano". Now, 60 years after their first appearance in a strip called When the Bell Rings in 1954, some of their most famous, or possibly infamous, kids have a street named after them.

The new street sign, in the city's West Marketgait area, features Plug and Wilfred leaving messages for Teacher. It's probably also the coolest street sign around.

The cache is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available on Brown Street. There is a private car park accessed from Brown Street, which has allocated parking for the various businesses in the vicinity. It comes with the threat of a £60 fine for unauthorised parking. Probably best avoided when the "night time economy" is in full swing as the area is likely to be busy with plenty of happy campers - especially if they've just had a win at the nearby casino - that's the one with the cctv camera outside that just might spot you acting suspiciously. You have been warned!

So why Beanoland? Ask Ricky

The cache is smaller than a film canister, and bigger than a nano.
