約３０年前に瀬戸大橋が完成するまでは高松港が四国の玄関でした。そこに立つ高松のシンボル・赤灯台は世界初の総ガラス張りの灯台で、夜間は内部の照明により灯台そのものが赤く発光します。高さは14.2m、ガラスブロック1,600個で築かれており、高松の玄関口で日夜安全を守っています。最初のポイントには第二座標を示したプレートのみを設置しています。照明も有り、夜間もアクセス可能なポイントですが濃霧、高潮、強風時には立ち入り禁止になるエリアですので荒天候時にはアタックしないでください。
難易度は低いですが移動距離がありますので自転車が便利です。高松駅前地下には６時間１００円で借りられるレンタサイクルステーションがあるので市内観光や、うどん店巡りをどうぞ。高松は高低差が無いので自転車が最強です。
