Geocache Description:

OREGON TRAILHEAD- In the mid-1800’s thousands of travelers passed through this area on their way along the Oregon Trail, which stretched over 2,000 miles from Missouri to Oregon. At this site, travelers created a wagon trail leading from the basalt rim above down to the Boise River which came to be known as the Kelton Ramp. Along the Kelton Ramp, it is possible to see wagon ruts and rock art left by Oregon Trail travelers. This trail dates back to the early 1860’s and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A great place to walk your dog!
