VICTORY WETLANDS at Five Mile/Victory is a stormwater pond owned and maintained by the Ada County. Stormwater ponds reduce flooding by collecting water from impervious surfaces during heavy periods of precipitation and allowing water to be released slowly back into receiving waters. This slow release mitigates the size and intensity of storm-induced flooding. Stormwater ponds also allow nutrients and other chemicals contained in stormwater runoff to be filtered from the water before it travels downstream. These ponds are also valuable resources for birds and other wildlife.
A quiet place for a short walk and bird watching. Gravel parking is located on the north side of Victory just past the Library. This location is unmarked with signage.
