Geocache Description:

The Path of the Flood Trail is open from Staplebend Tunnel to the Franklin ballfield.

Now that the Path of the Flood Trail is open from Mineral Point to Franklin Boro I thought I would help start putting some caches along the way. Access to this cache is from either the Staplebend Tunnel National Park in Mineral Point or from the Franklin Boro ballfield. Those with sufficient memory will remember this is where Thunder In The Valley first got it's start. From the Staplebend Tunnel side you would go down the hill from the tunnel and across the bridge. The cache is along the path towards Franklin.  I would recommend bringing a flashlight along for the tunnel portion of the trip as there could be fallen rocks along the floor of the tunnel.

The trip in fron Franklin is a shorter but not as flat path. There is some significant grades with some narrow sections. This would not be an easy trip for a bike unless you where experienced with your bike. I will mark the attributes as the more difficult trip from Franklin.
