THIS MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED 
BY THEIR SURVIVING COMRADES 
TO THE MEMORY OF 17 OFFICERS 
AND 160 N.C.O.S AND MEN 
OF THE 4TH BATTALION 
LEINSTER REGIMENT ROYAL 
QUEEN’S COUNTY REGIMENT 
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE 
GREAT WAR. 

Also in the park is the Portlaoise I.U.N.V.A. Memorial. 

DEDICATED TO

WHILE SERVING WITH THE
