History
Near the ‘Hollandse Schuur' were some shallow tunnels saturated with water and therefore unusable. End of 1915 the '250th Tunnelling Company’ started with the excavation of a deep shaft. To deceive the enemy a so-called machine-gun post was built above the shaft. The excavation work was temporarily halted in April by heavy shelling. After 125m length the gallery was split into three mines were explosives were placed. On August 20, 1916 all rooms were equipped with an explosive charge and the mines were closed again.

Nabij de hoeve ‘Hollandse Schuur’ bevonden zich nog enkele ondiepe tunnels, die met water verzadigd en dus onbruikbaar waren. Eind 1915 startte de ‘250th Tunnelling Company’ met het uitgraven van een diepe schacht. Om de vijand te misleiden, werd o.m. een zogenaamde mitrailleurspost boven de schacht gebouwd. De graafwerkzaamheden werden in april tijdelijk stilgelegd door zware beschietingen. Na 125m lengte werd de galerij gesplitst en werden 3 mijnen geplaatst. Op 20 augustus 1916 waren alle kamers voorzien van hun explosieve lading en konden de gangen opnieuw afgesloten worden.

Près de la ferme ‘Hollandse Schuur’ il y avait des tunnels peu profonds saturés d'eau et donc inutilisable. Fin 1915 la '250th Tunnelling Company’ creusement une mine profonde. Pour tromper l'ennemi un soi-disant poste mitrailleuse fût installé au-dessus de l’entrée de la mine. Les travaux d'excavation ont été temporairement arrêtée en Avril à cause d'intenses bombardements. Après 125m de longueur la galerie a été scindée en trois couloirs avec dans chaque couloir un chargement. Le 20 Août 1916 toutes les chambres ont été équipées d'une charge explosive et les couloirs ont été refermées.
