How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A little Wherigo adventure, published to coincide with the Kent Mega (4th May 2014).

This Wherigo game (cartridge available here) will take you for a walk collecting virtual items before leading you to a physical geocache.

The straight route is about 2 miles, but you may walk further (allow 1.5 hours).

There are some randomised elements, so the game will change each time it's played. If there is more than one of you, why not each have a go.

This cartridge has two options for stage 1, one of which now appears to be missing. The options are selected randomly on start up. If you encounter this problem. please restart the cartridge until you get the other option. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll update the cartridge when I find a suitable alternative.

The initial coordinates are for Foal Hurst Wood car park where the Wherigo starts. Parking is free but the car park is locked at dusk.

There's some mental arithmetic needed, but if you take a set of dominoes with you then just counting is enough.

Please avoid spoilers in your logs. (If there is something that works or doesn't work or you like or dislike please send a message through my profile page.)

The cache contains a logbook and pen and has room for small trackables and swaps. Please rehide it carefully as found.

To find out more about Wherigo type caches, visit where you can discover what tools you need to run the cartridges. You will also need to download the Kent Mega Domino cartridge to do this cache. The cartridge has been tested on a variety of devices. You can download the cartridge of your choice by clicking on the links.

Thank you "the roys" for helping with the testing.
