This cache is in the grounds of a very active, lively church, placed with kind permision of the Vicar and church wardens. The caretaker is also aware of it but has vowed not to tell.
The ground is flat but grassed and there are a few trees.
The church is used for meetings and services during the week so please be aware and be sensitive when visiting.
The village of Combe Down grew mainly because of the quarries from which the stone was taken to build Bath. There are many interesting "nooks and crannies" most of which can be found by following this walk.
One place of interest which is not in the village centre is an old Jewish burial site.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list.
