Geocache Description:

This is a series of photos of 7 birds that are seen in southern Alberta. The idea is to go to the posted coordinates in order to obtain the name of a bird and a capital letter. Match the name of the bird with one of the photos in the series. When all names have been matched with the correct photos you will have enough information to find the bonus cache. No previous knowledge of birds or bird identification is necessary to complete the task, although that may be helpful.

Here is a photo of Bird #1:

Go to the posted coordinates to receive the name of one of the other birds in this series. Be sure to make a note of both the name and the capital letter that is on the log sheet. Match the name to one of the other photos in this series. This then gives you a match for the Bird # and the capital letter.

Example: You go the cache and obtain "American Robin E". Now look at all the photos in the series and find the one that is the American Robin. Suppose it is #5 in this series. Therefore E is 5. Note that the matching process does not involve the photo for the cache you have just found.

The bonus cache is at N 49 FF.FDB   W 112 AE.CGD

All of the caches are placed in locations near Lethbridge where I have enjoyed watching birds. The photos were not necessarily taken at the location where the cache is hidden. The overall goal is to combine two of my favorites pastimes - geocaching and birding
