There is a game app where you place the phone on your forehead and the folks around you have to give you clues as to what is displayed on the screen. There are many different categories, and some of them can be quite difficult to convey.
One of those difficult categories is “Accents”.
I had the phone on my head; green-eyed, cjenogan, and + The Driver were giving me their best impressions. I was moving through those like nobody’s business. I flipped the phone to reveal the next “accent” and both of the men just stared at me and shook their heads. All of the sudden, green-eyed stretches her arms out like an airplane, makes a “vrooom” noise, and pretends to crash into her dining room table.
The accent? Malaysian. I guessed it straightaway.
