Geocache Description:

There are a few places out in Indian Hills that qualify as favorites for me. This is one of them.

My Girl (now gone) and I walked the Indian Hills almost daily. She loved to do doggie things and I love the exercise and air. Many days we walked past the site of this geocache. Sometimes I sit here on the hillside and take in the ravine, it's trees and bushes, and the eastern slope of the Carson Range.

Since I placed this geocache, I sold my house and moved to another place here in Carson City. Yet, I still go James Canyon WMA now and again and walk these some old paths, now with a New Girl. There was a fire not long ago and much of the sageland and ravine are damaged. But, they are both healing and will be as beautiful as they were in a few more years. The place is still worth the hike to visit.

Because of its location, this area is shielded from traffic noise, so it's quiet in the mornings and evenings. It's a wonderful respite from the constant barrage of noise we are subjected to. I thought I should share the quiet, the solitude, and the view with other geocachers who love the outdoors.

Please replace the container as well concealed as you find it. There appear to be muggles about at night and things tend to be shot up out here. It would be a shame to lose the hide.

I put a few goodies in the container. It's large enough to hold a few bits of schwag and a travel bug or two.
