The parish church of St Margaret lies attractively embowered in trees. From its churchyard there are splendid views north towards the Isle of Sheppey 12 miles away.
A simple, but appealing building, it dates from the 12th, 14th and 15th centuries.
Once you have found the cache you can pass it into the church grounds and look around the church. There are some impressive views.
There is parking for one car right at GZ if the gate is shut, but don't go walking off, or else a bit south down the road is a small layby on the same side of the road as the church. You decide. If the church gate is open then do not park at the entrance. And if you enter the church carpark then make sure you don't get left there and locked in!
