Geocache Description:


Welcome to the launching of Spartanburgs's own "Spring into Spartanburg" Geotrail!


Event Date: May 3, 2014
Time: 9:00 am until 10:00 am

The trail consists of many caches all around the City of Spartanburg. There are caches of all types and sizes located on the trail.

This is the *Launch* date of the geotrail. The Geocoin Geotrail can be completed at any time after the launch, and will remain active even after all of the geocoins have been claimed.

Come explore Spartanburg and you can receive your very own unactivated City of Spartanburg geocoin seen below!


At the posted coordinates you will find an information table and someone to give you the Passport Grid, explain the requirements of the geotrail, offer tips and explain geocaching to the uninformed. Each cache will have a specific square on the page for you to write down the associated code word from each cache.

While the event officially begins at 9:00 am, the Geotrail information area will be manned from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm for those wanting to start on the trail later in the day.

Every geocacher picking up a Hub City Passport Grid during the event time will be given a door-prize ticket for prizes to be given out at the conclusion of the event (10:00 am). (You must be present to win)
