Whilst replacing the other cache which had been lost we also placed this little fella.
The cache is hidden a bit further up the path from our other cache, hopefully not too close. It isn't necessary to jump across the ravine (unless you want to), just walk up a bit further and you can skip across easily. Did you know: This creature is a flying mammal. There are over 1000 different species. It is nocturnal (active at night). They ‘see’ in the dark using a special skill called echolocation. They make noises and wait for the sound waves to bounce back off objects (an echo), if it doesn’t bounce back then they can safely fly forward. Most feed on insects, while others eat fruit, fish or even blood! They can live for over 20 years.
