The Wise Sage Traditional Cache

Once again the name says it all

Another of the 5 caches placed along the interpretative loop that starts and ends at the upper parking lot at Sun Mountain Lodge. The loop is about 1/2 mile long with only a small amount of elevation gain so is suitable for just about everyone. The signs around the loop will tell you many fun details about the geology and plant life in the area and is a nice hike for the entire family. Be aware that it gets quite hot during the summer so bring water and sunscreen. Parking is free but during very busy times can be limited. The best spot to park is at the tennis courts as those spaces get the least use. Except for The Mystery Girl Cache all the containers are the same and once you get the right view point should be very visible. all are within a few feet of the trail. This spot is a favorite for taking a short break and deciding if you want to continue the loop or take the branching trail down to the homestead
