The eight cache is part of series of caches along the length of Loch Doon between the A713 and the Forest Drive between Loch Doon and the Stinchar Falls. There a superb views on a clear day of the Rhinns of Kells - great walking country on the far side of the loch. The Rhinns comprise Corran of Portmark, Bow, Meaul, Carlins Cairn, Corserine, Millfire, Milldown, Meikle Millyea, Little Millyea, Darrou and Craigwhannel - a 15 mile walk.
