This is our first cache so I hope its all ok. There is parking at the end of Ski road and the rest is on foot down an easy path. Take the time to walk down to the lake along the gravel road. Its is approx 150m to the lake, less to the cache. Dont walk pass the cache though unless you get it on your way back. You are looking for a small eclipse tin which contains a pencil and log book.
If you like fishing, take a rod or two. The lake is stocked with Australian Bass, Yellow Belly (Golden Perch), Mary River Cod, Snub Nose Gar and Saratoga. Keep an eye out for Koalas in the trees as they are not the only thing you will find in the trees today. Even the odd deer can be spotted.
Once you find the cache, head to Mick Hanfling Park on the East side. This is the largest and best equipped picnic area located on Beeville Rd just past the Petrie Scout Den. This park has picnic shelters, electric BBQ's a toilet and off-street parking open to the public 365 days of the year.
