Geocache Description:

It can get muddy in winter and after rain so some parts may need boots or Wellies.

First of a small 8 cache series. Dont be put off in 'PEAK' by all the muggles as they very rarely stray far from their cars and you will be free in a few minutes. If you do the 8 it will be a walk of around 3.2 miles about 4.2 miles if you includes the others in the area.

As a bonus you should get 4g (Vodafone at least) almost all the way round as well.

It can get muddy in winter and after rain so some parts may need boots or Wellies.

There is a brook that runs through the middle of this walk (please check waypoints for bridges) and it will take you alongside Little Linford Enclosure, through Pinnick Wood (old oaks) passed Red Shoot Wood and back alongside Great Linford Enclosure. I like going this way round and the clues will make sense if you do it this way. You can do all in the series without wading through the stream. When you go from 5 to 6 and follow the path down there is a bridge just up to the right.

The first cache is just slightly off the path to left if doing the round in order and you are on the path closest to the fence. This one at ground level. Please enjoy the walk and place the cache as it was found with plenty of stick-o-flage. From the Linford Bottom Car Park walk back down towards the road and cross over to the other side of the stream. Walk up the 2nd path, keeping the fence round Little Linford Inclosure to your right. Follow the track into Pinnick Wood and then turn left down towards Linford Brook . Cross the brook and head back to the Car Park, keeping Great Linford Inclosure to your right. The area around the Car Park is very popular in summer, but it is surprising how quickly you can get away from the crowds and into some of the wilder parts of the Forest.

All in the series are clip lock plastic containers, have a pen and are camouflaged. Room in all for swaps and trackables and number 4 being the smallest.

The whole series can get muddy in winter or after long periods of rain so suggest boots. The brook can go from flowing well to completely dry. You don't need to wade at all if you use the bridges marked a WP's

This cache is on Forestry Commission land and has been placed in accordance with the GAGB - Forestry Commission Agreement.

As part of this Agreement, it is not permitted to seek the cache during the hours of darkness

The whole series is 4 point clip lock pots as it is a rule for placing caches in the Forest, also they can not be up trees that you would need to climb for.
