Just In Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not repaired it I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Greenhead Park. A Nano is what you are looking for. This is one of a series of five located within the boundary of the park. This Is a very Popular Park. Major Stealth may be Required!

FTF Orinoco. Congrats

Greenhead Park was built on land originally leased by Alderman Thomas Denham who privately leased 15 acres in 1870. The Huddersfield Cooperation then made a deal with the Ramsden Estate to purchase 30 acres of land in 1881 following which the land was developed into the park you see today. There are many activities within the Park - enjoy your stay!

This park has been restored in 2012 and has had all the railings that were removed during the Second World War reinstated. Please be aware that the park has opening times of 07:00 and closes at 18:00 in November, December and January otherwise 20:00. However I have never seen the gates closed or locked at any time.
