Many years ago my family gave me (Geodad) a little collection of ready to hide caches which had been sitting around the house and Geoboy (as he was then!) had been asking why they haven't been put to proper use yet. We have had our own little geocache trails that have led to birthday presents, geoboy has hidden them around the house, they have been broken and repaired numerous times and they have even been with us on holiday! So what better way to spend my birthday than placing a few of them while enjoying a nice spring walk.
This was all done time ago now.
My son originally made me give this a 'difficulty: 3' rating. Though I thought it was easier than that. He was definitely right, as it collects its fair share of DNFs. Difficulty rating was increased in 2023 to a '4' which seems right on the official scale. No specialist knowledge or equipment. Just a good eye. (Edited: March 2024)
