The cache is located in the Kath Roberts reserve, we are unable to find out any information at all as to why this is the Kath Roberts reserve, but the Geo kids found a great hide and really wanted to place a cache here.
The cache is a mint container with magnet, so bring your own writing stick.
It is in a playground, which we actually try to avoid placing caches in for the normal reasons, but have made an exception for this one.
It is highly recommended to bring the Geo kids as cover.
Thought we would include the following information provided by Old Peg, as to why this park is named after Kath Roberts. Thanks for the info. Kath Roberts was the Post Mistress for many many years in Beaconsfield. She was a most active participant in community activities and very interested in the young people in our community. The home on the corner of Wood Street and Beaconsfield Avenue was her home after she left the Post Office. The Community [Progress Association] and the Shire of Pakenham [at that time] agreed that a small park to commemorate her contribution to the community was a worthy cause. Members of her family still live locally.
