Been finding caches with my family for a few years now, but last year, my boys (the Shepard Sons) decided to create their own cache to hide. Finding a place to hide the cache proved more difficult than we expected. After trying a few spots that were rejected, we gave up for a few months. Now, we are trying again to find a good hiding place.
We hid this regular sized camo-duct-tape covered container in Pence Park. It was a 1.3 mile hike for us from the parking coordinates listed. You can theoretically make a longer hike or mountain bike from O'Fallon Park or even Lair o’ the Bear Park. There are quite a few geocaches in this area, so you can make a day of finding caches in these Parks.
Please replace the cache the same way you found it to keep it hidden.
The original contents include a few toys and a couple of travel bugs. PLEASE if you take a travel bug, do NOT forget to log that you have it. Don't take a travel bug unless you intend to keep it moving.
