Södertörnsleden, eller länsväg 259 som är dess egentliga namn, diskuterades redan på 1940-talet som en tvärförbindelse mellan E4 och Nynäsvägen. Den första lilla biten från Masmo upp på Myrstugberget byggdes i början 1980-talet.
I början på 1990-talet tog diskussionerna fart igen som en del av det sk. Dennispaketet. Då byggdes första delen av leden mellan Jordbro och Gladö kvarn. Resten av sträckan har dock aldrig blivit verklighet pga. politisk oenighet och överklaganden.
Trafikverket fick i början av 2013 återigen uppdraget att utreda frågan. Leden har hela tiden planerats att förläggas i dalgången mellan Kästa och Glömsta, strax nedanför platsen för denna cache.
Denna cache är förhoppningsvis litet klurig och behöver ett "möbelverktyg" för att nå loggremsan. Har du inte sådant med dig så finns en vid waypoint A1.
OBS! Lägg tillbaka cache och verktyg precis som ni hittade dem. Öppningen på cachen ska var snett nedåt.
Södertörnsleden, or county road 259 which is its actual name, was already discussed in the 1940's as a cross-connection between E4 and Nynäsvägen. The first stretch from Masmo up to Myrstugberget built in the early 1980's.
In the early 1990's, the discussions was started again as part of the so-called "Dennis package". Then the first part was built between Jordbro and Gladö kvarn. The rest of the route has never been realized due to political disagreements and appeals.
The Swedish Transport Administration got in early 2013 once again commissioned to study the issue. The road has always been planned to be located in the valley between the Kästa and Glömsta, just below the location of this cache.
This cache is hopefully a little tricky and you need a "tool for furnitures" to access the log strip. Did you not bring such a tool there is one provided at waypoint A1.
NOTE: Return the cache and the tool just as you found them. The opening of the cache should point slightly downwards.
