This stage is about 17km in length.
From the Glen Sannox entrance to walk up Goatfell, cross the stepping stones over the Sannox burn and onto the beach. Continue on the path northwards, keeping close to the sea. Eventually you come to the North Sannox burn. On the way watch out for people abseiling on a large rock face to your left, dolphins and basking sharks to your right.
Follow the path until you reach the next river crossing. If the tide is out and a low flow of water in the burn, cross the slippery line of stepping stones. If they are covered, head up the left hand bank of the burn until you reach the bridge.
From here, North Sannox Picnic Site, follow the path through the forestry gate to the Fallen Rocks. Watch out for Dolphins and Basking Sharks. A further 6km on, Lagan Cottage is reached and shortly after, Lagan Harbour with the site of the Centipede Trail and Salt Pans.
After locating this cache please replace cammo and leave the area litter free. I have special permission for this cache so long as dogs are kept on under control at all times and no litter is left on the A.C.W path network.
This cache is situated between two navigational aides. Heading in land the tall white navigation beacons helping shipping, these can also be seen at Sannox bay and also heading up Glen Sannox. On the beach there is a washed up Buoy.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy the natural beauty around this section of the Arran Coastal Way.
