James Monroe was the 5th President.
Here are some interesting facts:
1.  As a young lieutenant he crossed the Delaware River with George Washington..
2.  As president he orchestrated the purchase of Florida.
3.  Established the "Monroe Doctrine" which told European Nations that they could not create more colonies in North America.
4.  He was shot in the shoulder during the revolutionary war and carried the bullet
