Gara River Rest Area is located adjacent to the Gara River bridge on Waterfall Way, East of Armidale.
The rest area is the entry point for a TSR (Travelling Stock Route). The TSR is open to the public (gate is not padlocked) and features some walking tracks and 4WD-suitable trails. You do not need to enter the TSR to find the cache. If you do enter the TSR please keep dogs on-leash and your kids close, watch for black and brown snakes and be careful near the water. There are generally cattle somewhere in the TSR so please keep the gate closed. Place rubbish in the bins provided. Easy Park-and-Grab - The cache container is v.small with a half-notepad logbook, stubby pencil, a few small starter swaps and a novely gift for F2F.
