This geocache is located next to the Winnebago County Fire Protection District building. It is flat and easy to get to and permission was given by the district.
Winnebago County Fire Protection District was the very first volunteer fire department in the State of Illinois. This location houses Peter the first fire truck used by the district and still brought out on special occasions. The truck can be seen in the back of the building, please be respectful and don't harm or damage any property.
