Geocache Description:

Noreuil Park is a peaceful spot on the edge of the Murry, not far from the  Albury CBD. It is a popular spot for walking, cycling and is a great area to cool off in summer, with a splash or a paddle.

Noreuil is an old battlefield village in France that Soldiers from the Albury battery assisted in capturing from the Germans during the first World War. In 1919, Albury mayor Alf Waugh convinced council to name a riverside park and swimming area after Noreuil as a tribute to the soldiers’ actions. While only small in size the cache has enough room for small trackables.  It should contain a pencil. This area is can be extremely busy, especially during summer, so please use caution when locating and returning the cache.
