Take a walk down old Hwy 54 to where a bike trail will connect WI and MN trails.
An overpass will be built over the nearby train tracks. One other bridge will also need the be built in the refuge. Timeline is scheduled for the summer of 2016, same time as the new interstate bridge. A temporary bridge will also need to be built to bring supplies from the MN side as the high wagon bridge can't support the weight.
Preliminary work has already begun. Test holes drilled, brush being cleared.
It looks like the timeline has been pushed back to 2018 when (hopefully) the project will be fully funded.
