We recently discovered Pine Grove Cemetery in Phenix City, AL. It is an older cemetery without a lot of recent interments. I wish I knew the story of this solitary soldier who participated in not one but two of our countries greatest conflicts. He appears to rest alone without any obvious family connections to those around him. Hopefully the rustle of the leaves and the cooling shade give him comfort.
