This will be the fourth annual DEN Geocaching Day in North Carolina. The DEN is volunteer educator community: Discovery Education Network. Educators are learning how to use geocaching in their classrooms, but lack experience. This is where you come in. Adopt a teacher and take them caching.
In 2011, we hosted an event at Southwest Park. 2012 it was Hagan Stone Park. 2013 it was at Cedar Rock Park. This year: Burlington City Park.
Of course, there will be a travel bug drop, a log to sign, door prizes by Discovery Education and Magellan, and a few surprises.
Meet at the parking lot near the posted coordinates at 9:00 AM. We will have a brief orientation and then, break up, adopt teachers and teach them how to cache!
We are hoping to be able to provide lunch as we have in the past. Here is a link to
register in case we can get it sponsored again. If you plan to stay until noon, please register for lunch.
