On the road from McGregor to the start of the Boesmanskloof hiking trail and "Die Galg" historical road is this welcoming old car wreck that marks the turnoff for some self-catering cottages. The road itself terminates just a kilometre further on where the hiking trail begins. The car is a well-known landmark in this area.
