Tuvalu Sinking #2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

VK2RG: Geocachers seem to have forgotten that a cache logbook needs to be signed before claiming a find. This cache has stood up to natures elements very well and is now retired.
I will work on a new caches for Tuvalu at a later date.

Geocache Description:

The island of Funafuti, Tuvalu, is not everyone’s cup of tea for a tourist destination, but still many make the trek by boat or plane for whatever reason. My visits here are work related on behalf of the BBC World Service. Tuvalu is in the headlines for one simple feature, its sinking as a result of global warming and sea level changes. So be quick before it disappears.

Tuvalu Sinking #2

TO LOG THIS CACHE THE FINDER IS TO SEND A PHOTO OF THE CACHE CONTAINER TO THE OWNER vk2rg

The Tuvalu Philatelic Bureau, a government body formed in 1976, when the Gilbert and Ellice Islands colony was dissolved and Tuvalu was established as a separate British dependency. Two years later Tuvalu became fully independent within the Commonwealth.

The bureau is run by a small staff, dispatching stamps to collectors worldwide, and are aware of the cache.

Small note on cache maintenance:
