Lakehurst park has just received new playground equipment this spring! (2014). I find this park has so much to share for everyone of all ages and interests. The new playground equipment is certainly a hit with my children and the basketball court is exceptional. The soccer field is perfect for many different games and the greenspace is ideal to fly a kite. The gazebo provides a wonderful spot for parents to relax, watch the kiddies and maybe network and make friends themselves. I've even seen a group bring a BBQ and have a picnic with organized games and sports.
Although the train tracks are nearby, it's so nice that they are divided by a wall and access to them is not permitted. The wall is not only a safety barrier but I find it reduces noise and the attraction of a train passing through. The cache is located on the safe side of the wall, in the far back corner of the park away from play areas; no worries.
Many memories can be made here while avoiding many muggles; I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
