Diamond valley Trail is one of several trails connecting to the Appletree campground. If you follow this trail beyond the GC it will lead you to London bald. It is a beatiful covered walk running along side gurgling streams of water.
From the parking area start your journey into the woods. You will travel along water pretty much the entire way. You will cross water twice but with nimble effort shouldn't get wet. There is one small stretch that can be mucky after a rain, just hang the side of the trail. Be sure and look around when you get to your coordinates, there is alot to see in the trees and on the forest bed. This cache is not far from the trail and is only about 600 steps from the parking area. One other helpful hint is that you do stay on the straight path, no need to turn off onto other pathways as you will come across one.modified coordinates are N 35 13.156' W 83 40.896;
