Pilot Butte Creek is a seasonal watercourse in East Regina which directs runoff and snow-melt south and west into Wascana Creek. Near the cache site, the pathway follows the stream through an ecological reserve with a number of paved and gravel walking routes. There are benches and garbage cans throughout the eco-reserve, some located on surprisingly peaceful overlooks. Within the eco-reserve you can regularly find rabbits, Hungarian partridge, ducks, geese, many varieties of song and marsh birds, as well as numerous raptors.
The location was chosen as a good spot to stretch and look along the stream. If driving to this cache, please find a parking spot west of the pedestrian crossing since the road gets very busy to the east.
Bring your own writing stick and please replace the container exactly where you found it.
