Cloudland Canyon State Park sits on Lookout Mountain in the NW corner of the state of Georgia. With a lot of recent land expansion, there is a LOT to do here -- miles of trails, waterfalls, etc.
There is a $5 daily entrance fee, unless you are a member of the Friends of Georgia State Parks! :)
This small cache is located at the Five Points Trailhead, which is open 7am to Dusk each day. (Although the cache is located fairly close to the entrance gate, do not enter after dark.)
The cache you seek is small, aggressively camo'd container very close to the entrance road.
Placed with permission of the park manager and park naturalist. Please take care to understand the basic rules of geocaching in order to help keep the game enjoyable for all who participate. Please do not move or vandalize the container. Replace the cache like or better than you found it (exactly where you found it).
Sign the log book and leave it in the cache. If you want to take any of other items in the cache, they are there for trade; be sure to leave something of equal or greater value, but don't leave any kind of food items, or anything that is highly aromatic, which could attract critters/creatures/rodents/bugs.
Enjoy your visit at the park and remember to re-hide the cache like or better than you found it and practice, "Leave No Trace." While visiting any Georgia State Park, please obey all park rules and remain on the marked trails as you make your way to find the geocaches!
