The red comet is a comet that appeared in the sky over Westeros in 298AC. It is red, with a long tail that to some appears to cover half the sky. It is visible by day and outshines the moon at night. Some believe the color of the comet is blood red. It was first spied by Jhogo just prior to the birth of Daenerys Targaryen's dragons.
