How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A walk in Marsh Park on a paved path until the last few yards.

Bikes are nice, but not required.

Park hours are hit or miss - during the winter months, mostly miss.

This cache was inspired by a discussion on the OKIC Forums Off-Topic discussion.

My son, at almost 8-years-old, is a geek.

Actual conversation:

Curly Tiger: What are megabytes and gigabytes?

Web-ling: A kilobyte is a little over 1,000 bytes. A megabyte is a little over 1,000 kilobytes. A gigabyte is a little over 1,000 megabytes. A terabyte is about 1,000 gigabytes.

Curly Tiger: Next must come geobytes, because Geocaching is about 1,000 times bigger than Terracaching.

Is he a geek, or what?

During the discussion, it was suggested that he gets his geekiness from his dad, and that he is a "geek off the old block." Thus, the cache name.
