Geocache Description:

Wansdyke is a long ditch and bank, also known as a linear defensive earthwork. Wansdyke is dated to the Dark Ages, roughly between 400 and 700 AD. It runs from Maes Knoll south of Bristol to Savernake Forest near Marlborough in Wiltshire. Maybe it is not as familiar to many people as Offa's Dyke or Hadrian's Wall, yet it is one of the largest linear earthworks in the UK.

Parts of the Wansdyke can't be traced with one piece being the publow hill gap a missing section of 1.4 miles, if you look on an OS map you can see the existing earthwork, could this cache be hidden on the missing section, i'll let you decide.

there is parking very near to the cache, the final few feet could be slippery and muddy.
