The house definitely haunted. Some people say it is a woman looking for her family that had been missing for years. It is said that she still looks out of the top window hoping to find her family. I have also heard and read, this same woman hung herself in the house and now haunts it.
It's now a privately owned business property. Level headed, mature, educated, no-nonsense people have witnessed papers or personal belongings become missing or moved around. People have reported briefly seeing a woman's corps hanging in the up stairs area. Cold places and drafts have been reported. Our local newspaper has a write up on the legend of the haunting every several years. If I can "hunt" down the archived article, I will ad it here.
