Quad Pipe II Traditional Cache

This cache is a replacement cache for the archived “BSL Quad Pipe”.

The position of this cache is on the opposite side of the street from the original BSL quad pipe cache. The lake here is known as the “Big Lake of Boiling Spring Lakes (Patricia Lake on some maps).  The City of BSL controls the depth of this lake by gates reachable from Alton Lennon Road.  These gates help maintain a set depth of the lake.  As needed, city officials adjust the gates to allow more water to flow into Allen Creek and thus avoid flooding in low areas around the Big Lake.   Those of us who live on this lake are thankful for the city’s involvement in this process during hurricane season!  Rest a minute on the guardrail and enjoy the view of the lake and listen to the wonderful sound of the water. Please watch for cars and keep safety in your mind at all times.
